Why Be a Woman?

A piece built on the asking, "Why Be a Woman?" which demanded that we create room for all responses from each artist.  Originally conceived by Courtney Barrow, Nancy Hughes and Sophia Roberts  Our group of artists to work with are of varying ages, abilities and with backgrounds differing in how we identify through gender as well as through culture.  Our question soon became, "if we could choose to be a women would we be one?"   Through our dance we ask ourselves to bring an openness and vulnerabilty to what we are creating so the viewer can ask themselves would they choose to be a women.
